The Tutsis were attacked viscously by the Hutus, a similar ethnic group, after their president Habyarimana was killed in a plane attack. Thousands of Rwandans, even millions, stay their trust with the UN and feel they will be protected and helped in any difficult global emplac ement. However, once the attacks began it seemed the UN backed remote and didnt stay true to their obligations. The UN sought to arrange a ceasefire but all attempts failed, which left the majority of Rwandan people broken and viciously angry.
